January is always the dullest part of the year in my point of view, so when I found out I was invited to a 21st, I was more than just a little bit excited. I started planning my outfit about 6 months before the party! The dress code was black tie with a hint of sparkle... so my attention for the next 6 months was drawn on anything sparkly. I searched around lots of shops but Asos definitely had the best selection of dresses to choose from. Enjoying my mango and passion fruit cocktail (aka a pawn star). Okay... so I know it was only a hint of sparkle but I couldn't resist. The back of this playsuit from Asos I just fell in love with, even though I did catch on people with lace dresses, which did make greeting people get very awkward! My jacket for the evening was the warmest, fluffiest jacket from Forever 21, faux fur of course, in the sale for just £16, in the boxing day sales. I love a bargin! The table decorations were amazing, and would happily have taken them home with me to brighten up my room. The party was just amazing and I loved every minute of it!

As a very active person, I am constantly wanting to go and do things, so when my parents agreed to cycle around Bewl with me I was thrilled. I had done it previously with my friend and knew it was a tough and hilly cycle, but I very cleverly didn't inform my parents to this. We set off bright and early in the morning, my parents were less excited than I was. Once mum and dad had sorted out renting a bike we set off. It became very apparent to my parents very quickly that it wasn't quite as flat as they were expecting. To my shame, I fell off half way round when I was trying to get out the way of another cyclist, who didn't grasp the concept of staying to one side. It was very embarrassing and my parents had a little giggle. I really enjoyed my cycle around Bewl even if I did fall off and have to wait at the top of each hill for my parents! I'm not sure I will convince my parents for a while to take me again but I will hopefully go with my friends soon.
G x Shop the look... The day came of my first open singles tennis tournament. My nerves had built up the whole of this week, worrying about whether I would play well. My first match wasn't until 4 so I had plenty of time in the morning to get ready. My outfit was the first situation; I had at least 5 options to choose from, which proved much more difficult than it needed to be. I finally decided on my new Nike Top, plain black Nike Shorts and finished it off with my good old Nike Trainers (the link is to the new colours available, as they no longer sell my colour). Yes... I am a lover of Nike, if you hadn't noticed! I finished my outfit off with my Nike Warm Static Half Zip (I think the name of it is a bit to complicated for what it actually is and sorry again they don't sell this colour anymore). Anyway once I had decided on my outfit choice, next I got to focus on my games I will be playing. In the end I won the consolation, which I was very pleased about! I am now still suffering from my 1 hour and 15 mins final match, which was far too close for comfort, and I am pleased to say I won 4-3, 3-4 (10-8). It was the tightest match I have ever played.
G x Every winter you can rely on tartan to be back in the shops. Its a classic and these days you can make really fun by picking up on some of the stronger colours in the tartan or even doubling it up! Here is the look I put together... This dress was a great price at only £19.99 from New Look last year. This season New Look are spot on again, with their tartans! I think its their best season yet with a huge range of super on trend pieces all at really great prices! And if you have unidays...it makes shopping, a little bit easier!
My leather jacket is one I bought last year from Topshop and am pleased it is already getting so much use now the weather has turned! Topshop usually bring out a couple of new leather jackets each year, and here is one of my favourites from this season. My super cute little black boots are possibly some of my comfiest shoes. They don't look it but they have a really lovely spongy sole so can wear them all day long and they still feel like slippers! Here is a very another pair from ASOS, which I just love! So that is my tartan look! I'm sure this wont be the last of my tartan purchases. I already have my eye on this rather lovely scarf, for this winter. G x |
